What we do here
We track retailer price hikes on the consumables people buy every month, name the increase specifically, and point readers to alternatives before they overpay. We do not take sponsorships from the retailers or brands we cover. Revenue comes from affiliate commissions on the refillable and reusable alternatives we recommend, and from bank/credit accounts readers open to stop getting gouged by the financial side of the same problem.
How we pick
Every product on this site clears four bars before we recommend it: real-world evidence (rating, reviews, longevity), reasonable price for what you get, no concerning safety or quality issues, and at least one of us would buy it for someone we care about. We say no to a lot of things, including paid placements.
How we make money
Most of our links are affiliate links — when you buy through them we earn a small commission at no cost to you. That money keeps the site free, keeps us editorially independent, and lets us spend the time it takes to actually research what we recommend. Read the full disclosure.
Who this is for
cost-conscious consumers, budget-minded households, and anyone tired of watching routine purchases creep up in price without explanation — the Costco-spreadsheet crowd, the r/frugal crowd, single parents doing household math, and anyone who noticed their subscriptions quietly doubled over three years
What we’re not
We’re not doctors, lawyers, financial advisors, or licensed practitioners of anything. Nothing here is professional advice. If what we cover intersects with a decision that matters to your health or finances, please talk to someone qualified.
